Percocet being pregnant

my sister is 37 weeks along and she had really bad pains and they give her percocet to help sleep last night. dose anyone know how safe it is????

  • if the drs gave it to her then im sure its ok.
    if shes just taking because shes in pain well then no its not ok.

  • I was on it after I had a kidney stone during my pregnancy.

    My girl is now 2, and just fine.

    It is a category C drug, so like PP said, you only take it when there's a real need.

  • Most OB's will say it is safe to take for pain while pregnant.

  • Percocet was the only narcotic I was allowed to take while pregnant for migraines.
