It depends on your business. Is this selling consumables? Freelance writing? House cleaning? Web developing? Is this national or local?
I used to do social media for a couple different companies. If you are able to or are able to hire an expert, get involved with social media. Twitter, Facebook, blogs, etc are great ways to market for "free." You'd be shocked at how many people will visit your website bc of there sites. You can use Google analytics to track these campaigns.
