Just something I've been curious about....

What is the difference between a conventional oven and a Convection oven? Seriously, I want to know.

  • The main difference is that the air inside a convection oven is blown around by a fan to evenly distribute the heat, while in a conventional oven it is not.

  • The pp answer what the mechanical difference is, but failed to say that foods made in a convection oven cook about 50% faster than those made in a conventional oven.
