  • The book Love & Limits may teach you how to avoid the tantrums. It is by Elizabeth Crary. She has a website called Star Parenting. Here is a parenting chart you can print and put on the fridge.

When your son is throwing tantrums you can hold him so he doesn't hurt himself or anything else.

  • isolate him when he is throwing the tantrum. He does it for a reaction, if you walk away from it, it will loose all of it's power.

  • i had the same problem... tantrum twos.... i had to find a spot on the floor where there is nothing to touch... and pla ce my daughter there every time she would miss be have...we she woudl hit or say no in a mean why.. i had to be consitint with her... at first it seemed like i was doing it every 5 mins.. but after about of month now she is hardly ever in time out... and when she does get in trouble i make her say sorry and i tell her to go sit in time out .. and she does... this might not work for u .. but it did for me.. i hope it helps....
