If you want natural flu remedies get them now. The government is pulling traditional flu remedies....

Why would they do that? Where is the logic?

http://www.fda.gov/ICECI/EnforcementActions/WarningLetters/ucm187027.htm

For the record, the product they are talking about is a natural, homeopathic product with NO FLU in it. If you know anything about homeopathy you will understand that it is a remedy only. There is no evidence for homeopathy as the AMA will not allow it. Again, go into the politics behind the AMA and homeopathic doctor split in the 1800's. It is a money thing. Nothing else.

  • Ok, this is NOT just about the flu miss idiot. Why does the government get to decide what we can and cannot take as natural medicine? If you know ANYTHING about homeopathy you would know this cannot hurt you. I know homeopathy and have seen it work wonders. It troubles me that the government is running out of meds, vaccines and is now taking off the market things that could help this flu epidemic. If you don't like the questions, skip them.

  • "Why does the government get to decide what we can and cannot take as natural medicine?"

Why not? They get to decide what you can and cannot take as medicine otherwise. That is why we have the FDA.

  • I disagree. We have the FDA to protect us from things that don't work. Homeopathy works. It just doesn't PAY as well as big pharm. I am so tired of our government deciding what is best for us. It does NOT have our best interest at heart.

  • I think all drugs not tested and approved by the FDA pulled from the shelves. Why, because most of those drugs are the ones you see class-action suits for, i.e. Hydroxycut and STARCAPS. If is true is natural and safe it should be approved by the FDA then. PLUS, the "false and misleading information and Failure to require a prescription" parts should set off a red flag to anyone.

BTW StarCaps claimed to be an "All Natural" remedy actually was laced with bumetanide.

  • Thanks for this post, good information to know. Those of us with a wide view can see that it is indeed under the correct topic. We need a reminder now and then regarding our health frreedom, and this is one of them. The AMA is all about money and anyone who thinks that the FDA is here to protect us hasn't been paying attention. And the logic behind it?  Logic was stood on its head long ago.

  • Right, the FDA is here to "protect" us from medicines and drugs that don't work or that are outright HARMFUL (unfortunately, they've been a little slow on the uptake as of late with different drugs that are causing deaths!). If I choose to use homepathic remedies that should be and IS my RIGHT as an American citizen. This is getting downright ridiculous!

  • Homeopathy works? Link, please. Proof? Many of the homeopathic herbs and such can be toxic and some are just placebos and nothing more than a hippy way to bilk the gullible public. Do you think a root will cure the flu? LOL.
