  • I think my mom uses salt pork but don't know what else she uses. Mmmmmm -- a pot of black eyed peas sounds fabulous -- can I come over for dinner tonight?

  • We only eat Black Eyed Peas once a year, on New Year's Day! Not sure what culture started this. but the B-E-P represented something.
You also eat salt pork and boiled cabbage.
    Does any one know?
