Apple dumplings

What type of apples work best for this? will granny smith be too tart?

  • Yes usually granny smiths are the ones in all the dumpling/pie/crisp recipes. I personally love fuji apples in anything....they are sort of sweet and soooo juicy.

  • when we had the state fair a womanmade apple dumplings andshe used grannysmiths and they were a little tart then she made apple twist and used golden delicious and those were the best things ever
