  • I'd put both. I personally add a bunch of mixed veggies to my tator tot casserole. I figure the more veggies the better :)

  • I've never prepared or eaten a tatertot casserole, but I'm going to vote for peas simply b/c I don't really care for green beans all that much.

  • Hell NO on the peas - that's just wrong! Tater tot casserole is supposed to be made with green beans. Although I have had it with corn, and that was pretty good, but green beans take the top!

  • Okay Snoober k! You crack me up!
1# gr. beef, 1 can crm. mushroom soup, 1/2 can milk, 10oz. peas, 1# tatertots, 1c. fried onions
Brown beef, mix in soup, 1/2 can milk, and peas. Put in baking dish and top with tatertots. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 min.
I have always made it this way, and my 7yr and 5yr old sons and dh love it. However, my 2yr son wouldn't eat the peas (only smash them). So I thought maybe I should try green beans next time. Then, I wondered how most people prefer it, and dh thought most people would prefer green beans. So far, peas are winning, but we will see........
