  • Behaviorial Modification Therapy. Get the child professional help to figure out WHY a 9 y.o would have anxiety. At 9 they should still be relatively innocent in thinking.

  • My daughter sometimes feels anxious and we have tried yoga, chants, massages and herb teas, like chammomille and passion flower, also Rescue remedy. Walks in nature, aromatherapy and warm baths can also help. Also writing in a diary.

Considering the world today, it is no wonder kids feel anxiety too.

  • Don't feel bad mom, I think this is normal this day and age. SOME peoples kids just don't tell their parents about their anxiety.
For my daughter, who (5th grade) is constantly stressing about school, grades, ect, we do affirmations.
There is a magic formula for eliminating worry (works for adults too)
1.) Figure out the worst that can happen (for whatever the worry is)
2.) Accept it (the worst) if you have to.
3.) Figure out what you can do to improve the worst case scenario.
Example. My daughter always worries about grades, so the worst that can happen is she gets an "F". She can accept that she will possibly get an F. Then she can work on improving her grade next time by studying more, or doing extra work, ect.
So when she stresses out, ask her,"what is the worst that can happen". Soon she will learn to do this on her own and it will eliminate a lot of the worry before hand. Hope this helps:)
