  • This is what my pediatrician recommended for similar issues with my son when he was a newborn. Get Aquaphor made by Eucerin. Get the Aquaphor wash (it's super gentle) and the Aquaphor ointment. Both are found in the baby wash/diaper rash isle at Target. Bath only with the Aquaphor wash and use the ointment as much as needed throughout the day. The ointment is also great for chapped or windburned skin. It also works super great when you can see a diaper rash is about to start...stops it in its tracks.

  • Ditto the Aquaphor!! It is greasy and may leave a stain on clothing - just to let you know! It works great. You could even ask your doctor if he has a sample (it is a little pricey). That way you could try it first.
