The death of 3-year-old Silas James Gautreaux could be linked to the H1N1 virus, his mother, Chayla Levine Gautreaux said Friday morning. The toddler died Wednesday at Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia.

“After he died they tested again,” Chayla Gautreaux said. “They did a swab and found he had Type A and Type B viruses.”

  • I can't say anything about the type A and B viruses but the news goes on to say "Funeral services for a 3-year-old who reportedly died of flu was interrupted by Iberia Parish Sheriff's Deputies today.

The visitation was underway for Silas Gautreaux.

The coroner is now demanding the body be brought back and not buried after funeral services tomorrow.

Authorities now tell us there are allegations of child abuse.

Silas' funeral is tomorrow at 2 PM, at New Iberia's Our Lady Of Nativity Catholic Church." This was dated the 23rd.
