  • Okay here again... not everyone goes by the bible sweetie... so even if it does say this, it's not something that folks from other countries are going to see... So, your answer is NO..... Not everyone believes in the Bible Hon. It's the way of the world..... We believe what is right to us.....

This attitude is what also makes racisim and hate so rampant in the world Babe.

  • Haven't found where it says "four corners".. however as the below verse indicates... the gospel will be preached through out the whole world. There are places that may not have heard the gospel or about Jesus yet but for He returns.. everyone throughout the world will have heard.

Matthew 23:14 And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end.

  • Matthew 24:14: And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.
MArk 13:10: Also, in all the nations the good news has to be preached first.
Revelation 14: 6: And I saw another angel flying in midheaven, and he had everlasting good news to declare as glad tidings to those who dwell on the earth, and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people.
Romans 10:16-18: For Isaiah says: “Jehovah, who put faith in the thing heard from us?” So faith follows the thing heard. In turn the thing heard is through the word about Christ. Nevertheless I ask, They did not fail to hear, did they? Why, in fact, “into all the earth their sound went out, and to the extremities of the inhabited earth their utterances.”

  • Yeah, my great grandma believed the earth was flat because of that one tiny verse. She died in 1973, and no matter how much science proved that the earth was round, she didn't believe it.

  • ObbyDobbie, you have never heard that figure of speech? It was a common figure of speech back then that just meant the entire earth in, from the north, south, east, and west. We use figures of speech often today when we talk about the sun rising. Does that mean you think the sun revolves around the earth? No. That is just a figure of speech. We ALL use them.

The Bible doesn't mean that the earth has four corners or that it is flat. In fact the Bible says that the earth is round and that it hangs on nothing (Isaiah 40:22 and Job 26:7). So before we sent a shuttle into space and looked back on the planet, God revealed to us through His word that we are a ball hanging firmly in space. I think it is cool.

  • you guys are missing the point of the question, i presume. 'four corners' means north, south, east, west...in other words, universal or everywhere.

anon1106..ah, how you do protest! 'belief' wasn't even mentioned in her ?.

For real? seriously? Asking if a phrase I have heard several times comes from the bible makes racism? how is that? If I asked if it came from Shakespeare what would it be? Not everyone goes by Shakespeare sweetie. Can you tell me what religion I am? Are only certain religions allowed to ask about the bible? There is a question about wanting to be unahppy you might want to check out
