  • Birth weight of six pounds eleven ounces...if he lost ten percent...just over six pounds at this point. If he's breastfed, then he'll gain a mere 4-6 ounces per week and might not make birth weight for three weeks. And that's normal.

  • How can we answer that if we dont know how much the baby was a birth. Some babies lose 10 percent soon after birth then begin to gain again, some gain alot of weight very fast while other gain slowly.

  • Well, they say that your baby should be back to their birth weight by 2 weeks old. So it depends.

  • There is no specific weight your baby should or shouldn't weigh... My son weighed 8 pds 12 ozs when he was born he lost around 3-4 ozs when we left the hospital. For his 2 wk checkup he weighed 9 pds 3 ozs.

  • That greatly depends on the individual baby. Not a single baby in the world has the same weight gain, because it greatly depends on their original birth weight and their feeding habits. By eight days your child's weight shouldn't have fluctuated that much from their birth weight though.
