Would it be tacky?

Would it be tacky to dress my son up as white trash for halloween? So my sons hair is getting long and I was thinking about cutting his hair into a mullet on the day of halloween. Using his own clothes to finish it off.

  • i think its a cute idea... i remember doing that as a kid. I think that it would be said if people couldn't have a sense of humor on halloween and enjoy it.

  • I have put off getting my son a costume so I was thinking of doing something easy and home made instead of hunting down a costume.

  • i would be joe from joe dirt and not just say "he's white trash"

that is inappropriate for a child dont you think, stereotyping and all that

or you could say he's from the 80s, just different wording

  • i wasn't trying to sterotype, i was just trying to explain what i was imagining. my first thought was like an 80's rock star.

  • Get him tight jeans & cut off the sleeves of a button down shirt & he could be Billy Ray Cyrus from the Achy Breaky Heart era. I wouldn't say he is white trash as some people could have issue with that, but if you pick a particular character or person, it could be really cute.

  • I was thinking cutting his hair into a mullet and putting him in overalls with a cut off sleeve shirt. I thought it would be funny because we're country people and we live in the middle of nowhere. I can see that it may offend some and thats what I wanted to advoid.
