how to get rid of heart burn with natural remedies?

every night starting at 9pm i start to get this acid stingy feeling going up to my throat and i hate it. it keeps on going until i fall asleep. I am 17 weeks pregnant and i would like something natural and safe to use to get rid of it.

  • This will sound nuts but someone once gave me one of those bite size snickers when i had really bad heartburn and it worked the nasty acid taste in my throat went away and my chest felt better. Now I keep the dove dark chocolate singles on me whenever it gets bad :)

  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar in 6 oz water. It works for me.

  • tsp. baking soda in a glass of water.drink it fast it tastes bad but works great.

  • okay......i rubbed a little bit of icy hot in my hand and smelled it lol......I had really bad heartburn and this worked

  • Papaya. You can get papaya chewables. They work wonderfully for heartburn!!

  • If it's only happening when you're laying down to go to bed, try sleeping in a sitting position. I had that problem with both pregnancies and it didn't seem to matter what I add or cut out of my diet, how small my meals were, or even how many tums/pepcid I took (last resort and it still didn't work). Sleeping sitting up on the couch helped - - it was the only way I could sleep for the last few months.
