wth does michelle need twenty six assistants for?

Full time hair stylist and makeup artist? Etc, etc?
Do you think this is wasteful spending in a time when we have record setting deficits?
And does anybody know how many other first ladies had? Is she out of line? Or understandable?

  • It ha gotten out of hand. Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama. It has ALL gotten out of hand. Obama sold Americans on cutting waste. All he (and his wife) have done is ADD waste. The only thing different about the Obama's???? THEY HAVE SPENT MORE!!! Way to show Americans how to live in a recession Mr President. Lead by example. Pathetic.

  • Haven't we had this very discussion before? Seems to me we have.

    I could careless if she has someone doing her hair and picking out her clothes at all. Perhaps some of these things she could do herself. You know her own hair & make-up. Choose her own clothes for events and the like. I could understand her having one or two assistants, she could get by.

    Didn't all of the other first ladies do everything themselves. Perhaps she could take a lesson from them. They certainly had the bare minimum in this area, so they weren't bankrupting our nation like she is.

  • i wouldnt call a hair stylist an assistant
    but if you count that I guess you could count a driver, a pilot, a body guard, etc. LOL

    I call those employees who have specific talents not assistants

  • She could drive herself back and forth to speaking engagements. and why take a plane to everything? seems wasteful to me, why not take a train or simply drive. Isn't that what planning is about. If there is some where she has to be, an event she has to attend, she could plan ahead like the rest of us. Shop a head of time, get up early to style her hair and leave in plenty of time to arrive on time. Unlike that husband of hers who is late to every damn functions known to man.
