Look for local agencies that have holiday assistance programs. Check with your local Social Services office to see if your family qualifies for any special assistance, this may also help with heating and electricity costs, possibly food too. Get in touch with the Salvation Army, Toys for Tots program, and any area churches that may be able to help you and your family this year. Also get your kids involved in Christmas activities that are free in your community; look to local the local recreation dept., community groups, and churches. Remember too it is not the quantity in your giving that counts but the spirit in which it is given. Your kids will understand no matter what. They love you.
