Why don't babies like to be held upside down?

They're head down in the womb, you'd think they'd want to be head down when they came out too!

I'm a first time mom, can you tell?

(no i'm not going to hold my baby upside down)

  • my almost 7 month old loves it. we do it during playtime and sometimes I do it if she's fussy- Dr Sears said in one of his books that a chiropractor discovered... something about it... crap, I can't remember.... but my girl likes it and it calms her if she's fussy. have to hold her just right though.

  • They are only upside down when the mom is walking or sitting... right? When she is lying down, they aren't upside down. I suppose they don't want to be held upside down because everything they see is upside down. Also, the food in their tummies would try to come out- not a pleasant experience.
