For anyone with the flu or with sick kids

Does anyone have any really good natural remedies?
I know about vitamins d, and c. I've been rubbing garlic and oil of oregano on my kids feet. What else is there?

  • The FDA criticized the manufacturer of Tamiflu for "overstatement" of claims of efficacy, since blind studies comparing it to a placebo only resulted in a 1.3 day difference. A study on Sambucol (Elderberry) found a 3-4 day difference in duration of symptoms.

  • Chicken Noodle Soup or Chicken Broth
    Orange Juice
    Dry Toast.
    Lemon Lime gatorade

You didn't specifically say food but normally no matter what illness my children have they respond best to keeping food down and staying hydrated through the above list.
Hope your home gets healthy again soon.

  • any fluids that they will take, hydration is so important. Even if they ask for soda, because soda has calories and they need any calories they can get when they are weak and sick.

  • Sorry, nope. This is my first encounter with the flu and I rushed my son to the doctor to get meds since he has asthma and I don't need him getting pneumonia too.
