Arms Reach Original or Mini?

I've decided to get an Arm's Reach Cosleeper for the daughter we are expecting. I've had a bassinet or cradle for both of my boys and hated having to turn on a night light or light, sit up and get baby out of them to nurse at night. So much moving around seemed to wake them a lot. Seems to me it would be much simpler to have baby at same height as our bed. Anyway...typically baby only stays in our room until 3 months old depending how long baby is sleeping between nursing. So I'm wondering if I can just get by with the mini or if its that much better to get the original size. I already have a playpen so the fact the original converts doesn't matter. Thanks for your help!
