when is your baby suppose to turn to the upside down position?

  • It can happen at any time. Some babies get head down at 20 some weeks and stay that way. Other babies turn in labor. I had my dd at 42 w 2d. and she didnt get into the "right" position til about an hour before she was born. So in my case, it was 2 weeks late and 7 hours into labor! It really can happen ANY TIME.

  • normally 28 weeks but like ma2b said could be earlier or as your having the baby but it's normally 28wks

  • ma2b08 is right~ it's so great to hear about moms who didn't elect for an unnecessary cesarean for breech!
    A lot of times, those pre & early labor contractions are turning baby vertex. It's important to give baby that opportunity!

    If you're baby is breech and you are concerned, you do have several options, don't feel like you're headed down the surgical delivery path.
