  • Koolaid Playdough!!

    What You Need:
    1 c flour, sifted
    1/2 c salt
    3 T cooking oil
    1 pkg Koolaid (unsweet)
    1 c boiling water

Mix together flour, salt, oil, and Kool-aid.Add the cup of boiling water. Mix well. Knead the mixture until it forms a soft dough.

Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

Any other unsweetened, powdered drink mix may be substituted.

    Expect colored hands :-)

Non-toxic... could be eaten, but won't taste very good.

    Here are some other recipes:

  • The one I make is simply flour and water. Take flour and mix enough water for it to have a dough like consistency. Add food coloring if you wish. Voila.

One thing I did with my son when he was having trouble learning colors was to make 3 balls of plain dough and put food coloring inside (one yellow, one blue, one red). As he played with the dough it would turn into it's respective color. As it did so we talked about that color. Then we mixed colors together to make new ones. He loved it!
