I need ideas for a ball dress...

Hubby talked me into going to the Marine Corp ball last minute, it's next weekend and I'll be 35 weeks pregnant. Surprisingly my stomach isn't really all that big considering how far along I am, well in comparison to my humongous chest :) What kind of dress should I look for? Where can I go where the dresses don't cost small fortunes? I wore a size 14/16 before I got preggers, so I'm guessing my dress size would be like 16/18 since I have gained some weight in my hips.

  • I don't know where, but I know that the halter top style for the bust is the most flattering on a large chest. I am not sure if that's what it's called, I am talking about the style where there is a single strap that goes from one shoulder, around the neck, and connects to the other shoulder. It really flatters the bust, keeps "the girls" under control, and has a bit of a slimming effect as well.

Good luck and have lots of fun!

I found these two. I like the first one best.
