Should I tell the boy it used to be a gay bar song? They have no idea....

my DS heard my playlist the other day and discovered he liked Disco. So he put all the songs on his Ipod which all the football players listen to in the locker room. He said yesterday they were all dancin around and singin' " It's rainin' men".
I could see it in my head, to be a fly on the wall.

  • I agree if they are all goofing around to the song then let it be. The only reason I would have said anything is if he were being made fun of and didn't understand why. Thats funny my son heard that song and said wow what girls won't listen too.. lol

  • Nah, let him find out years from now, when he can really laugh about it.

  • I would not tell them what it use to be in our day. Let them like the songs. They(the boys) are of a different generation.

  • Really? They were singing "It's raining men" and didn't think there was anything strange about it?

  • I would tell my son, but that doesn't mean he hast to tell everyone else. I definitely would not want him walking around singing it w/o realizing what it meant.

  • Just let them enjoy the music. You get to enjoy your own private joke!
