yet another potty training question

sooooo i'm a newbie lol...when starting potty training does the toddler just take off the diaper and go, then you put on a new one afterwards? or do you go right ahead and give them those training pants and no more diapers (if you are a very determined potty trainer)?

  • It's best to wait until they are ready. Then get rid of the diapers completely. Pull-ups are confusing to them.

  • I was very determined and my DD at 16 months was wearing underwear (the thicker ones) all day and pull ups at night..

  • so when you say "wait till they are ready" do you mean keep them in diapers but potty train and once fully potty trained then go straight to underwear?
