  • Yes they can be! Esp since it's soley based on when ur LMP was. My last preg I had to argue w/ them, because I got preg the week I was supposed to start my period. I took 3 tests (1 blood) when I was a week late and they all came back neg. So until they did 2 diff sonos no one believed me, surprise surprise I was right! He was born 2 days after the "right" due date (the one I said). So yes, if u happen 2 ovulate some other time then 14 days after ur LMP, then yes!

  • I dunno yet because im still pregnant
docs are mostly wrong because the due date they give you is just a midpoint of when they think you will go into labor so you could give birth 2 weeks before it or 2 weeks after technically longer or shorter

but my friend just had her baby a month ago
her first due date was October 31st
moved to scheduled C-section on Sept. 23
had an emergency c-section on sept 16th

  • yes they can be but only when your early. They normally are correct after the first sonogram. They estimated mine on November 22 and after the sono at 9 weeks they said his due date is November 16! GL and congrats!

  • yes they can be up to 2 weeks off and that's in either direction. but, i wouldn't try to get labor started on your own unless it's passed your 40 wk midpoint. the avg period for first time mom's to give birth is 41 wks 1 d.
