Does it matter if you mix brand names of baby food? Gerber vs Beechnut

My babysitter told me NOT to mix the two brands. Do you agree? What's your opinion. Thanks, Ingrid!

  • i don't see why not, i mean they are both going to end up in the same place its not gonna explode if you mix it, and if it does then obviously its not safe LOL

  • Food is food. Mix it, it won't create a fire or anything, lol

  • you only eat one brand of food?

  • From Ingrid (imjustme0502): Let me clarify, I didn't mean mix together two different brands together. What I was asking is one day Cameron eats Gerber, the next day Beechnut?

I agree with Anonymous - We don't eat just one brand...exactly what I was thinking....

  • It's fine. People do it all the time. It isn't like you are changing is formula everyday, because that can cause issues, but baby food, please, give me a break.

  • It's fine - my son ate Gerber, Beechnut, Earth's Best, whatever was on sale or I had coupons for!

  • Look at the additives, are they different? Is there something new the LO can have an allergic reaction to? If not then dont worry about it, especially if they are different foods altogether. My son liked the Gerber meals but the earths best fruits. We played mix and match with foods based on what was on sale.
