  • "Do you even have $4?" !!!! Yes this is insulting. I think I would have asked what she meant.

  • Yes I would be offended!!! That is so rude? I think I would have said something to make her feel stupid. Like momtopreemie521 said.

  • Might have done a doubletake or giggled a little but not really something Id be offended by.

  • Perhaps she meant ON you? Some people don't carry cash, so maybe that was what she was (poorly) trying to ask. Otherwise, that's very rude.

  • I would not have been offended. I would have made some joke back like, do you? In a haha way. Even if she was trying to be a little judgemental I would have let it slide. Or perhaps if she views you as a young mom just starting out she may have just stuck her foot in her mouth. You could have always asked her if she could use her senior citizen discount card. I would have said it sweetly with a smile. I'm a little on the quick side of nasty when it comes to come backs. If I want a graceful response I have to think on it. Nasty ones I never have to wait for - just slip on out. Don't stress. Next time just ask her if she needs to borrow any cash.

  • I would have said that I even have FIVE dollars. We can get a soft drink too! And then, I would have said I was busy but thanks for the invite.
