OK my vag lips are so dry and cracked I can barely walk

What can I use to moisturize them? they HURT. I have no idea what's up, I guess it's a combination of wiping 40 times a day from peeing and taking a bath every other day

it HURTS, cant even touch them (not that i do that a lot anyway)

  • 100% natural olive oil would do the trick as well. in fact some mid-wives recommend using it to massage n stretch the perineum every day a month or so before giving birth.

  • I would use vaseline. Its safe and should be effective.

  • if its a yeast issue, which it could be... vaseline will only make it worse.

i'm sorry i'm not being descriptive, it's not my actual vaginal lips, it's the folds around my clitoral hood

  • You can try an over the counter med like Vagisal but you may need something stronger so I would call your OB....
Stop with the baths--it's bad for getting yeast infections...only wear cotton underwear only and try a sensitive skin soap like Dove.
You cal also go commando at night to let the area air out....

  • if you have a yeast infection, I wouldn't do a massage until it resolves--it could help spread the infection

  • you really need to be asking your dr instead of a bunch of women on cafemom who will almost certainly all have differing opinions, so far you have been given some good advice, but seriously, go see your gyno
