A Cold or something else??

DS has been having diareah (which sucks cuz he was doing so good with the potty!). it started out with a runny nose the other day, then diareah, and i checked today and he has a low grade fever of 99. he had a doc appt for his ears (he got tubes and it was a norm checkup) the doc said he had a little fluid in his left ear, and asked if he had been sick and he hasn't...but today my baby has red watery eyes and all of the above. i gave him tylonal, but is there anything else i can do? every now and then he says his stomach hurts, but he's playing like there is nothing wrong with him. (he has all of his teeth btw)

  • The BRAT diet is great for stomach flues. Bananas, rice, applesauce, toast. All of these foods help to bind the stool. Don't forget to keep the little on hydrated with a LOT of water (mix a bit with a tiny bit of juice if you have to). Stay away from any drink or foods with sugar, and any dairy, as they cause explosive diarrhea.

Keep the little one hydrated, fed (if he can keep it down), and keep an eye on the fever. Use your mommy instinct. If the little one just isn't acting right, or is lethargic, bring him back to the Drs.
