  • no experience with this, but i know my now 30 year old cousin did this when he was young. he would tell his mom he'd have to go, and she would put a diaper on him. he would go in the corner, and then she'd change him. everyone laughs about it now. i wouldn't worry. he eventually grew out of it. and he is now a very smart, accomplished adult.

  • i dont know is he afraid of the flush?? maybe try taking the diaper and dumping it in toilet and flushing it and showing him that is where poop goes. and maybe let him flush it so he can see it is not going to hurt him. or maybe let him sit on potty with diaper on when he has to go so he can see it is not going to hurt him. Will he go poopie on the baby potty or do you not use one any more?

  • My son did this when he was potty training. he would hold it in for days-not good. So our ped suggested a laxative and we did that. We gave him one dose of laxatives and just talked with him. He eventually came around to pooping but he had to do it in his own time. It took a couple of weeks of backing off but talking with him and encouraging while he sat on the potty. We also read to him, played toys with him while he sat on the potty. He is good now and actually gets excited when he has to poop.

  • My baby girl did this..... use lots of positive reinforcement when your baby pees, and when it comes to pooping. It will eventually happen.
