  • Do you mean like the mexican pizzas they have a taco bell? For those I take 2 tortillas for each person and bake them for a few minutes to crisp them. Then I place a layer of refried beans between the 2 tortillas. I top with taco sauce, shredded cheese, diced tomatoes and chicken.

  • TACO PIZZA:
    Crust:
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    1 pkg. yeast
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. warm water
    3 Tbsp vegetable oil
Combine 1 c. flour, cornmeal, yeast and salt. Stir in water and oil. Add remaining flour; stir well and knead about 5 minutes. Let rest 10 minutes . Spread in a greased 12 inch pizza pan.

    Sauce:
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. chunky salsa
2 oz. can sliced black olives, drained
    1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
Brown & drain ground beef. Add chili powder and salt. Stir in salsa and olives. Spoon onto crust to within 1/2 inch of edge. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes until crust is golden brown. Serve with chopped lettuce, chopped tomatoes, more shredded cheese, sour cream and/or taco sauce.

  • Regular pizza crust thin I think works best. I spread a thin layer of refried beans with taco sauce on the bottom. I cook the ground beef with onions, garlic, chili powder, cumin, oregano and a tiny amount of salt. I add in some fresh tomatoes and allow it to simmer a bit. I sprinkle the ground beef mixture on the beans and then add onions, peppers and black olives. I bake then top with shredded cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. I have more taco sauce or salsa, jalapeno peppers, and sour cream for people to add what they like on their pizza.
