How do I reach let down when trying to nurse/pump?

  • Practice, practice, practice. It took me a couple of weeks of frequent pumping before it worked.

  • Take a worn article of babies clothing so you get the scent, tape record baby crying to play during pumping, heat packs on the breasts will stimulate let down, dim lights

  • Most of the time it happends a few minutes after nursing/pumping there is no what to "make" it happen. I have to pump for 20 mins. I get two let downs. One at about 10 minutes and another about18 minutes.
