If new jobs cost $31,480,000

How much will we spend before we give up going the "stimulus" route? Will they keep approving new funds until they get U/E back down to 6%? To do that would be right around 10 million jobs, so the price tag would be $314,800,000,000,000. When do people stand up and say you screwed up try something else?

  • The stimulus is a joke. It wasn't out in place for jobs, it was put in place to get a bunch of pet projects in place for politicians. They'll never admit it or repeal it.

  • The debt created by the stimulus pretty much screws us for trying anything else. Taxes will now kill us to pay it off.

  • They should repeal tarp and the stimulus immediately. There is no point in spending it all if it isn't working.

They should use their heads instead of their personal bank accounts to decide what to do. A few "For Dummies" questions they could ask themselves...
Where do jobs come from? Businesses
What do businesses pay employees with? Money they earn.
What can we do to give businesses more money? Cut their taxes. Oooh, not the the federal ones, but all those little ones they control as well. make things easier for businesses to grow, you cut red tape. Obtaining licenses, permits, certifications and such can be a time consuming process. Ask cities, counties and states to jump on board. There are a myriad of things that could be done.

BO, here is an idea. How about inviting a bunch of small business owners to a sit down? Ask us what we need to start hiring...then FOLLOW THROUGH. JMO.....
