Wow . . . just had my first trick or treaters and . . . .

They weren't dressed up at all. In completely regular clothes with grocery bags. C'mon people . . . at least put a mask on your kids!

Hell, my daughter and I are dressed up and we're just answering the door!

  • It sounds to me like their parents don't care. Maybe their parents will allow them to keep and eat the candy so you can be happy about that part.

  • Did you give them candy?

  • Yes, I did. I'm not going to say no. It's not the kid's fault. They probably would have preferred to dress up. It's the parents' fault.

  • Why are they trick or treating two days before Halloween?
I wouldn't have given them squat.
No costumes and not even the right day? Ridiculous.

  • Today is trick or treat today in my area. Around here, trick or treating is always on Thursdays, no matter the actual date.

  • It is quite likely they are from a poor family. Hey a garbage bag as a costume is better than no costume and no candy to some people.
