how do you properly clean a thermometer?

i know you can buy those covers at the store...but i never have...so how do you clean it?

  • Warm water and soap - get it sudsy (just the insertion part) and rinse well in warm water.
    Dry then wipe well with rubbing alcohol and allow to air dry.
    Be sure to store in a secure place and wipe with rubbing alcohol (and allow to air dry) before using again.

  • i've always rinsed it in soap and warm water but i never knew if i should use alcohol
