Why does stress prevent you from getting pregnant when you are ttc?

Why does stress prevent you from getting pregnant when you are ttc and how much stress do you have to be under? Does really watching the callendar everyday and worrying about it really have an affect on your body?

  • I THINK IT DOES CAUSE MORE THEN LIKELY WHEN U REALLY WANNA GET PREGNANT IT NEVER HAPPENS..U HAVE TO STOP TRYIN AND BEING UNDER STRESS TO GET PREGNANT...SO TRY THAT...

  • stress will lessen chances of getting pregnant if you try or not
    as a woman your body and hormones go into imbalances when you have stress, which is also why its not good to stress while pregnant.

    my friend who was once trying said that changing her philosophy from "trying to conceive" to "not trying to not conceive helped" because when she brought it up it was more light hearted for her TTC was just so stressful that just changing the wording helped her relax emotionally and physically and well...needless to say it helped
