How do you loose weight?

I am a new mom to a 9 week old, and I would really like to loose weight, I do nurse, but what else can I do, as far as eating goes? I walk a lot, tread, and lift weights, but not daily like I should, like 2 times out of a week. What would you recommend? I eat vegetables, and fruits, but what else should I be eating. I love chocolate a lot, it's d own fall so what's the best I should I eat? Thank you if you could help, Please, it's such a huge help.

  • I would start with simple changes.
    Don’t buy junk food
Walk, or do other exercise, for at least 20 minutes a day, at least 3 times a week.
Make sure that you are drinking enough water, at least 8 8oz glasses a day.
Eat an apple or big pile of veggies before meals.
Eat 7-8 servings of fruits and vegetables a day, in at least 3 different colors.
Eat 5-6 servings of whole grains a day.
Eat at least two servings of legumes a day.
Cut way back on meat and dairy.

  • I use portion control. I pretty much eat whatever I want but in small quantites. I've lost 50 lbs so far and dont plan on stopping anytime soon

  • Walk whenever it's not raining.

Lift HEAVY weights, it's really hard for women to build much muscle but the more you have the more calories your burn 24/7 to maintain it.

Definitely keep nursing, it helped me A LOT.

Look into the Abs Diet and the Eat Clean Diet, both are safe while nursing as long as you're getting enough calories.

Cut out all fast food, soda, and alcohol right now.

I gained 60lbs during my pregnancy and lost it all by 6 months postpartum. You can do it!
