  • According to my 3 1/2 yr. old... 3 1/2 is when to stop. She take maybe one every two weeks now. It sucks... but we manage!

  • I really think every child is different. My firstborn stopped at 18 months!! He was sleeping 14 hours through the night and I would have him lay in his room for 2 or 3 hours and he would never fall asleep. I just had to stop the naps since they weren't happening. My other two kids still nap. I do have quiet time for my oldest. He sits on the couch and looks at books or plays with a toy for about an hour.

  • My DD stopped taking naps when she was 2, she is now 4. Occasionally she will take one, but not very often (if we're in the car for a while late in the afternoon, she will be out). My DS took naps until he was 4 (now 7), so each child is different.

  • Mine all stopped around 3, but we did/do still maintain a "quiet time" for 1/2 -1 hour for them to "rest" reading books, coloring, etc in their rooms

  • My daughter will be four next week and stopped taking naps this past spring. We do quiet time as well, but that only lasts half an hour.

  • My son turned 4 almost 2 months ago. He has been in day care for years and they all take a nap after lunch around 12.30pm. However, when he is with us all day, he doesn't take a nap unless we are driving. When he doesn't take a nap he gets upset for little things and crys so easily at any given time after 4pm. Then we know what his problem is...he is just tired...
