beef stew help

I have only one pund of the beef stew meat and everything I have calls for 2 pounds. Is it ok to use ground beef chuck for the other pound? Or will that ruin the stew?

  • never did it that way, sounds gross, you may have to go back to the store for that other pound

  • I would'nt even worry about adding any meat. Cut any of the recipes you have in half. Or nearly so. Lots of veggies and potatos should help compensate for some of the missing meat.

  • Or just do a half a recipe. That is if you have a small family.
