  • I didn't as a teen either usually. If I did it was a poptart. I usually just picked up a Mt. Dew on my way to school.

  • Yeah my 16 yo DS eats breakfast at home everyday. Sometimes it's just a yogurt or smoothie and juice, most times it's waffles, eggs, eggsandwich, muffins, cereal, fruit, whatever he feels like making himself.

  • My daughter leaves the house before six, so breakfast has to be portable: whole grain waffles or pancakes with peanut butter and banana; burrito with whole grain tortills, refried beans, egg scrambled with salsa and cheese

  • Yes, they eat at the table with their dad every school day and on weekends they eat at the table together.

  • no, but then I never did as a teen either. But my idea of breakfast is more like cookies or snack cakes. When I was a teen and we'd go out to breakfast, I would order from the desert menu. Of course as a teen, I never had to worry about my weight either, now....not so much. It about drove my dad nuts, and when I became a mom, I had to 'set the example" and order food. LOL

  • I am constantly fighting to get my daughter to eat breakfast. It doesn't have to be something huge- but she needs to have some kind of brain energy before school.

So far I am having luck with Carnation Instant Breakfast. We'll see how long it lasts.

  • My 13 y/o doesn't have an appetite in the morning. We compromise by making a fruit smoothie, which she loves:
3 heaping tablespoons vanilla Mountain High yogurt (or any other good yogurt)
    1 banana
1/2 cup cranapple juice (or cranraspberry or apple, etc.)
    6-9 frozen whole strawberries (unsweetened)
