  • I'm really not sure what your cause is about. Do you mean like saying "a girl with autism" rather than "an autistic girl"? I don't have a child with special needs, but I do work with kids with special needs, and I do try to be concious of this already. Sometimes it slips out the other way, but I do try to put the person first and the diagnosis second.
