  • If you have sex, your SO can get a yeast infection. Lots of things can cause a yeast infection: antibiotics, too much moisture, sex, etc. Your best bet to treat at home is to go to the store and buy something like Monistat 7. Eat yogurt and keep it dry down there.

  • yeast is a fungal infection (same stuff that causes athletes foot, jock itch, thrush, etc.)... yogurt is NOT enough to help it out of your system. Acidophilus (sp?) will quickly and effectively kill it off (it is one of the microbial cultures in yogurt. take the capsules (not tablets) and use them as vaginal suppositories, crack one open and mix with a drop of water & use as a cream. take it internally @ 2X the dose on the bottle. it has no side effects, outside of building healthy intestinal flora. it will very quickly kill the yeast infection. (get it at a healthfood store)

yes, your SO can get it, and give it right back to you. BOTH of you should be treated, do not have sex until the symptoms have subsided- it wouldn't be enjoyable anyway.

i have had chronic yeast infections while i was pregnant- this is the quickest, safest way to get rid of it.

  • was also going to say, it will breed in pubic hair, and make it harder to get rid of- if you are willing to shave, or trim really, really closely, it'll go away more quickly.

the acidophilus is very soothing, and will not sting like OTC or prescription meds.

hate that you're going through this- feel better.
