  • I had a c-section and was "suctioned" pretty well so I only bled for about a week. Though it's common to bleed for as much as 6 weeks after birth!

  • I bled for about three to four weeks. The first week and half or so was bleeding like a period and then much less for the rest of the time. It wasn't too bad.

  • At 6 weeks I thought I was done bleeding. Then I went for a run and started again. Activity CAN make you bleed more, use that as your guide. You know you're doing too much when you bleed more.

So all together I bled for 7 weeks.

  • 4 weeks with the first, and it was quite light.

7 weeks with the second, and it was very heavy.

  • About eight weeks. I'm not sure if it makes a difference- but my periods are usually longer than the norm as well.
