We always take our dog with us if we are going out of town. We just don't like to leave her and this works for us.

I left my cat alone with extra food and water around the house. But I can't do that anymore because he's on a medication that he has to take 2x a day and we also found out he's an epileptic. We don't go out of town much and if we do my kitty will be coming with or my sister will most likely watch him.

They either go with us depending on where we're going or they stay at a kennel.

Its been so long since we could afford a vacation to someplace other than to visit family and we take our dog with us for that. Usually we just put extra food and water down for the kitty and an extra litter box or two and go. If we leave for more than about 5 day I think we will kennel the cat, but thats been the max we have been able to do for the last several years.

I have two dogs, and a horse... I usually have a neighbor who I can trust because of my horse. I usually take care of my mom's small zoo when she goes away. I am picky when I go away because of my horse. She is old and blind, so I am very choosey over who I pick.
