When you lose your mucus plug can you lose it a little at a time or only all at once?

I have gone into labor twice and I am 32 weeks/

  • I too also had several episodes of preterm labor. I hope that you have gotten the steroid shots and that you can make it to at least 35-36 weeks. I have had 3 pregnancies and either didn't lose my mucus plug or didn't realize i lost my mucus plug . Therefore, I would say it is possible to lose it a little at a time. Pregnancy is so different for everyone and can be different for moms each pregnancy.

  • both. the mucus plug constantly rebuilds itself. so, you can lose a lot of it at once, but you will continually to lose it until after birth.
