Wellsboro PA, What would you do?

MY hubby got a job offer..... It come's with a company truck and a home it also includes $40/hr but it requires us to relocate and im all for it, I know the disadvantage's are i wont know anyone or have any family around but im prepared for that, besides i don't see how anyone could pass up an offer like that espcially with the way the economy is, I was wanting to know if you have relocated and was it worth it. And what is Wellsboro pa like?

  • Sounds like a lovely little town! I live in Easton, PA--more city like (although I live in a more suburban/country area), I would move there in a heartbeat! Here, click on the blue links (education, crime, people, etc.) on this page, to find out more about Wellsboro!

And with your hsuband's job, you're going to find you get more for your money!  Wellsboro has a lower cost of living than comparable towns in the US!

  • We are on the other side of the state. But I agree, for that kind of money, GO!

And then let the rest of us know how to apply! lol! I would give anything to move away from family! lol! $40/hr would just be a benefit!

  • There should be a relocation package, that includes someone to help you find a place to live, tell you about school options, etc.

  • Hello Mom,We moved to the adjacent county, Potter county 10 yrs ago. we looked in wellsboro but decided on Potter County. Real Estate is a little less expensive in Potter. My wife stays upstate and I commute to the Phila area for days at a time in order to get keep my business & to enjoy all the area has to offer. That's how much I think of the area. Wellsboro offers a good quality of life The Town itself is well done and has alot of community involvement, although it can be kinda of touristy. Outside of Wellsboro, rural, mountains & valleys. If you decide to purchase a home, beaware that there is gas well drilling in the area (out in the countryside) so pick your house and neighbors well. I have found Tom Severi to be a great RE agent in the area. He will treat you honestly. (570) 723-1600. Other links. Good Luck
