Whats for breakfast?

Do you know of a good smoothie recipe or drink that doesn't have coffee in it but gives you energy? I'm trying to avoid sports drinks and would like to find out what blended fruits and veggies will give me an early morning kick. Posted this last night and figured I'd post it again for a few more suggestions... Thanks.

  • Eggs are better energy than coffee, anyhow... more protein and more minerals, both of which help with energy a lot more than buzzing on caffeine.

Get enough rest --throughout the day if there's not enough at night.

Drink water, lots, all throughout the day (even if it means getting up in the night).

Move your body -- oxygen doesn't just happen in your brain, but you'll feel a lot more energetic and alert if you get in the habit of walking, running, jogging, working out, sweating or swimming every day. Yes, every day.

Eat more vegetables and fruit than anything else --by volume and weight. It should outnumber the rest of your diet by as much as 2:1. 2 cups of veggies for every cup of pasta, 2 pounds of fruits for every pound of meat, etc. A cup of berries in 1/2c of yogurt.
