what is the symbol of the eye, supposed to mean in the wiccan belief?

I was looking for an eyeball ring on ebay for a halloween costume for next year, and they are listed under the category "wiccan". Why?

  • It represents the third eye, which is located between the eyebrows. It's the sixth chakra and represents intuition. It can also represent the Eye of Ra or the Eye of Horus, a belief that originates with the ancient Egyptians. It is generally considered a symbol of protection and keeps evil away.

  • I was going to say the evil eye, which is not what it sounds like, its protection from evil.
