What the heck do you get a guy for Christmas?

I want to start thinking of ideas early, but he's so hard. He's a tech geek, and everything he wants is normally expensive. He like's music, gadgets, books on science or spirituality. He owns a Wii, and a Zune which is like an Ipod, also he has a super audio player, which is suppose to be so much better then a regular cd player. He very particular, and likes the most advanced technology. I don't know anything neat that isn't out of my price range! Can anyone help with some ideas, that wont break the bank?

Don't think electronic gadget - think retro. Anything that would fit in a mad scientist lab or a sci fi book from the golden age, like a proper slide rule.
